Awards, German architecture, neuron control and how to annoy your teacher

Hello everybody, I'm sorry I was so slow this week but I've been a bit sick lately. This was good but I also slept for about 24 hours I think, which is never productive. Unfortunately, my google reader has 375 unread items, so I have a lot of reading and commenting to do.

First of all I would like to thank Sie for her award. You can check out her other websites: this and this. She is a really special person. Sorry for not being able to thank you sooner dear :(

Let's see what interesting internet places I can recommend you this week. The first one is this  and it's about German architecture. I'm obsessed by everything German so if you are like me, you will love it too. Also, if you are an over-thinking freak like me,  read this.

Another cool article I read a while ago was Neuron Control written by Sarang Mangi. A great article about  activating specific neurons.

If you want to read something funny here are 45 ways to annoy your teacher. Now I'm seriously thinking of riding a horse to uni. :D

Now, let's see some studies: people learn while they sleep, drinking a lot of coffee and depression , low B12 vitamin levels shrink your brain, if you were planning on taking some hallucinogenic drugs you will need to rethink that because a single dose leads to lasting personality changes, and don't forget to drink red wine to lower your breast cancer risk.

Don't forget to check out this mind blowing article about people with schizophrenia. Apparently living in a developed country lowers your chances to recover.

  1. I have been sick the last couple of weeks also. My oldest started school and I think I have been sick every since he started :) I hope you are feeling better! I like the riding the horse to school idea, too funny!

  2. Oh my, I think it's autumn and the fact that it's getting pretty cold and we're not used to it.
Yeah riding a horse to uni would be legendary. I would enter the class and hand the paper to my teacher telling her"Bow before my paper woman, for it is the greatest thing you will read" then I'm going to take out my sword and cut the pile of other papers just for fun. I think this is delirium because I'm sick...don't mind me..

  3. Get well soon sis..It's ok sis..what is important for me now is fo you to get well..drink lots of water and fruit juices ok :)

red wine..yes I have heard it too and it is good for the heart..oh really I have no idea on that drinking coffee thing..thank you sis for your info' sleep and get plenty of rest :)

  4. I'm sorry you were sick - I hope you're better soon! My doctor wants me to drink a glass of red wine every night....believe it or not - I have the hardest time remembering! ...and I love the stuff! As soon as you're "supposed to" you forget!

  5. Hi Andreea, take care and hope you feel better now. I like that about red wine and the effects, but my hubby keep reminding me that its only 1 or 2 glasses rather then 1 bottle (at times I just do it since I have severe sleeping problem).

Thank you so much for your article on my blog and all the lovely comments too.

  6. hi andreea, i need to check out what contains substantial amounts of B12, i really dont want my brain to shrink.or get shrunk shrunk shrunk..does'nt that sound like a rusty drum.

you dont have to be so sober all the time, be more lax and dont feel bad, if you need to release some tension sometimes. get well soon and take care.

  7. wishing you a speedy recovery n good health Andrea..very interesting post..
    Tasty Appetite

  8. @Sie thanks a lot sis :D I’m better now :D
@Ann Thanks for your kind words! Indeed, we forget what we are supposed to do even if it’s a fav. Activity.
@Nava Hello dear and thanks for your support. I love red wine too, but I don’t drink it regularly anymore because it has a lot of carbohydrates.
@Cookingvarieties Your brain won’t shrink that fast, all you need to do is make sure that you keep yor B12 levels in order. :D Thanks for your encouragement :D
@Jay Thank you so much Jay! :D

  9. Glad that you're feeling better now, Andreea.
Again you posted a very informative post. Loved it. :)
